“Power of Pink” – The Firework That Battles Breast Cancer
October 2024 marks another impactful Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and the team at Sky Bacon Fireworks, led by President John Bechtold, is on a heartfelt mission to make a difference. For John, the battle against breast cancer is deeply personal. Earlier this year, in April 2024, he lost his sister, Meghan Trulaske Miers, to breast cancer. In her memory, John and the Sky Bacon team developed the Power of Pink firework to honor all those still fighting this disease.
According to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, an estimated 310,720 women and 2,800 men will be diagnosed with invasive breast cancer in 2024 alone. The Power of Pink firework aims to raise awareness about breast cancer while providing financial support to organizations dedicated to research and care.
